Things have been very busy, and the Corona remix has been getting some great feedback, so thank you all for that. It's going down a storm on the dancefloor. The main thing that comes across is people find it very faithful to the original track. I'm pleased about this; I didn't want to ruin a dance classic.<br /><br />I've been working on a bit of a commercial electro-housey thing with an old northern soul sample (yep - hardly cutting edge I know...but stick with me on this one). I've also tried to get an upcoming female singer/songwriter onboard to. I won't say who at the moment, 'cause nothing's set in stone, and I haven't checked with her PR people if I can announce anything. (OK - I mean I haven't got the green light from <span style="font-style: italic;">her</span> yet). Anyway, I hope that comes off. It'll be pretty cool.<br /><br />It's tough sometimes when you're gettin' a track together and then you just get stuck. I guess with bands, they always have each other to sound out ideas toand maybe just a moment of freestyling from one member could encourage a whole idea for a song by someone else. Maybe I'm just making all this up.<br /><br />What I do know is that some of my favourite producers work in pairs, and I presume this is why. The Freemasons (James &amp; Russell), Moto Blanco (Bobby Blanco &amp; Miki Moto), Haji &amp; Emmanuel, The Full Intention (Michael &amp; Jon), Shapeshifters (Simon and Max).<br /><br />Anyway...point being hopefully a vocal will encourage me to get this track fully polished.
