Howdy!
I kinda dropped that last track I was working on and instead have come up with THIS after getting an acapella of Love, Sex & Magic.
I started working on it way before it hit the UK radio stations but sadly time ran away with me and it got too late.
Then I came back to the track a few weeks later and thought I was kind of onto something, so here it is, for your pleasure.
No radio edit available but hey, that's life!

It Ain't Nothin...
Hey
Well it's been quite a while since my last post. Things have been very busy, and the Corona remix has been getting some great feedback, so thank you all for that. It's going down a storm on the dancefloor. The main thing that comes across is people find it very faithful to the original track. I'm pleased about this; I didn't want to ruin a dance classic.
I've been working on a bit of a commercial electro-housey thing with an old northern soul sample (yep - hardly cutting edge I know...but stick with me on this one). I've also tried to get an upcoming female singer/songwriter onboard to. I won't say who at the moment, 'cause nothing's set in stone, and I haven't checked with her PR people if I can announce anything. (OK - I mean I haven't got the green light from her yet). Anyway, I hope that comes off. It'll be pretty cool.
It's tough sometimes when you're gettin' a track together and then you just get stuck. I guess with bands, they always have each other to sound out ideas toand maybe just a moment of freestyling from one member could encourage a whole idea for a song by someone else. Maybe I'm just making all this up.
What I do know is that some of my favourite producers work in pairs, and I presume this is why. The Freemasons (James & Russell), Moto Blanco (Bobby Blanco & Miki Moto), Haji & Emmanuel, The Full Intention (Michael & Jon), Shapeshifters (Simon and Max).
Anyway...point being hopefully a vocal will encourage me to get this track fully polished. I love how it's taking shape, but I know it's just not quite there yet.
